I know you’ve all been waiting for this to make your fajitas, so here it is! Guac is one of my absolute favorites to make, whether it be for a snack or to accompany a meal. You pretty much can’t go wrong.
I modify the typical recipe to make it a little easier: I use salsa instead of chopping jalepenos/tomatoes/cilantro/onion or whatever. It gives it a nice robust flavor and it’s a great shortcut.
2 tsp Greek yogurt (healthy sour cream substitute)
1 tsp cumin
2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbs salsa*
1 tsp lime juice (lemon can work also in a pinch, you just want that slight citrus tang)
Salt and pepper to taste
1. Cut open and spoon out avocado. Mash in a bowl with a fork.
2. Combine all ingredients and mix. Add salt and pepper to your liking. Eat your heart out.
That’s it. Literally it. You can see why it’s on of my favorites, easy AND delicious!
*Chunky salsa will give more texture but I prefer to just use one with a good flavor that I like, whether or not it’s chunky. So use whatever you prefer!
PSA: Once again, not my photo attached to this post. It looks about how mine usually does though!
