Bruschetta is one of my favorite snacks or apps to whip up, it’s really simple and requires ingredients you most likely already have in your kitchen. Plus, it’s delicious and pretty healthy, who can say no to that?! 



2 slices crusty bread (French or sourdough are my favorite)

2 tbs evoo

Pinch of salt

1 large tomato (alternatively I use 3 compari tomatoes because I love how flavorful and juicy they are)

1 tbs good balsamic

2 cloves garlic

5 basil leaves

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper


1. Chop tomatoes and basil, finely dice garlic. Combine with balsamic, 1 tsp salt, pepper, 1 tbs evoo. Mix fully and set aside to let marinate. 

2. Preheat oven to 350. Drizzle bread with 1 tbs evoo. Toast bread for about 5 minutes or until you achieve desired toastiness. 

3. Put tomato mixture on top. Eat up! (I swear that’s it. Really that simple.)
